This is a brown-toned vertical patchwork skirt in sunray or accordion pleats that start out smaller at the waist and get larger toward the hem - a design that is known to make you look taller; the long linear patchworks are joined together and highlighted on the seams by a thick bundled thread (dori) running from waist to hem to give a fascinating look. The skirt is handmade with unique pieces of print fabrics leftover from mass garment production and then dyed in a particular color tone to neutralize the prints that each can be different on each piece, but the underlying dying makes the skirt conform to a certain tone - as seen in the pictures for this style - which is brown (so please expect variation in the actual prints from what you see in the picture, but each of them is wonderful in its own right). It has an elastic waist with a drawstring to allow for flexibility and a comfortable fit. You can choose to keep the drawstring in the center or the side.
